The Consultation
At Aurora Photography & Design, we want to get to know you and yours. The Consultation (or meet and greet) is an important first step of your experience with us. This time will give us a chance to get together in our Benton Park, Saint Louis studio and learn all about you, your family, and your vision. We want to know more about your personal style and what you are looking for so that your session can be customized to your needs.
While there, you will be able to look at our extensive, collection of props, maternity gowns, and many other items. We can customize your session by color, theme or favorite items that will be great for your heirloom items for many generations to come.
The Consultation will also give you a chance to touch and feel our Heirloom Collectable items that you have already seen across our website. This allows us to further plan the flow your session based on the items you wishlist to make your very own.
The Session
The Session will be when you see all the Consultation and planning come to life! From the colors and items you loved, to the end products you have plan on displaying, your session will be relaxed, fun and memorable.
Our sessions (except Wedding Days) do not have a time limit. Many sessions average thirty to sixty minutes (two to three hours for a newborn session). Each session is unique and we want to ensure the outcome of the session is exactly what we imagine, which sometimes has a varied time needed. We don't like to have a strict rule on how long it takes to capture the perfect moments. After your session we recommend starting to get an idea of what items you want to focus on at the reveal to help us guide your decisions and make the process easier for you.
The Reveal
This is the big step of your experience with us. We sit down together and reveal your finished gallery of images. We will assist you in picking your favorite images, and even the tough desicions of what you want to do with them. While having our expert knowledge so your images don't look like a postage stamp on your walls.
We have gorgeous products available at many price points and there is no minimum purchase you are locked into. We have customized packages to show at the time of your reveal, that vary by our vendor specials at that given moment in time. Product Arrival
The exciting time is here! Your Products are in and pass our final inspections!! Now what? You get to schedule a pickup time, at the studio. Where you get to look over every item! At this time we will also give you hanging tips and tricks, or storage, cleaning tips. Then they get to make their way right into your home. We love when clients share their items in the spaces that way we can have a full finished view of how things turned out. It just makes our heart all warm and fuzzy.

For us, we are not just photographers but we like to build relationships to last well past your session. Many clients add us on Social Media to hang out. During your planning, we offer unlimited consultations, and timeline assistance customized for your individual needs. We like to make sure your event goes as smoothly as possible, and have been known to have a few tricks up our sleeve such as pinning boutonnieres, bustling wedding dresses, and making sure mischief is managed so the groom cannot see his bride pre-first look. Our job does not end there, we then move on to preserving your memories, editing them, and then creating flawless wall art, albums, and gift prints for all your needs.
